Do You Dare to Dream? (Song Composition)

Image
Soaring, flying... There's not a star in heaven that we can't reach, C'mon, try it, Soaring, breaking free. Somewhere by the sea, Where the moon and water meet, Somewhere close to harmony When the world is sound asleep We'll bring a change Journey's we're meant to take. Do you dare to dream? -- X2 CHORUS: Do you dare to dream? -- X4 Don't you be afraid, Everything will change. You and I, And stars above. Jumping off the edge, They say dreamers never die. Do you dare to dream? -- X2 Repeat CHORUS We're rising We're falling We'll make it through Climbing and Soaring Above thousand views. 'Cause we're soaring, flying... There's not a star in heaven that we can't reach, C'mon, try it, Soaring, breaking free. I wrote this song composition originally for a stage performance in OCT-2018. And it makes for a motivating read as well :)

I’m here too

Image
With so much hatred and violence all around these days, how do you think are we nurturing the blooms which are still learning to blossom? Just imagine - 3rd world war. No doubt, it would be a nuclear one. What would happen after that? ‘Total destruction’ - you would say, isn’t it? Never mind, mother nature would still nurture us all, even after the dark and heinous ways that humans choose sometimes. Some form of life will still find ways to exist, in minority though, yelling to be heard, yearning to be seen and having its beauty admired. Could you hear them say, “I’m here too”? No. Then go on to read the poetry that’s heart wrenching and eye-opening. At the end of the world, Protected in a pearl, A new life rises from below, A guiding star light says “Hello”. Making its presence felt,  Miracle it’s a magic spell.       ...

Liquid Nitrogen Ice-cream

Image
Death by Chocolate Using liquid nitrogen to make ice cream is nothing new. In pop culture, molecular gastronomy is the merging of scientific tools and techniques with culinary arts – using tools such as centrifuges, liquid nitrogen, microscopes, or lasers in the preparation of food items. So, it only makes sense that making ice cream amidst clouds of smoke and a big container of liquid nitrogen is the “in” thing to do among ice cream aficionados. Recently, I gave my taste buds the experience of relishing on liquid nitrogen ice-cream. It tasted much fresh than the normal ice-creams that we eat. The ice-cream texture was creamier than usual and there were fewer or no ice crystals. Initially, one might be a bit apprehensive hearing that 'liquid nitrogen' would be a part of the desert. But hey, lets dig deeper into the science concerning the preparation. At normal pressure, liquid nitrogen boils at -196.4ºC. When poured into the ice cream base the l...

AMOR FATI : Love of Fate

Image
It usually happens with many of us that we try to find solutions to overcome the challenges that we face in life and emerge stronger for that time, only to forget later in life the very trick that gave us strength in our moment of weakness. So, when something similar happens again, you feel that I have already overcome this obstacle before and wonder, then why am I not able to do it again? For this reason, this post had been long pending since ages, when I first realized how important it is to embrace the events happening in my life in order to live peacefully, to think clearly and to act courageously in every situation life throws at me.  It's better late than never. I got the push to give words to my thoughts on this blog post when I recently came across a latin phrase "AMOR - FATI" which translates to " Love of one's Fate " in English. We are often told that our greatest assets are willpower, decision-making and discipline. It’s also what we ...

I want to write

Image
"I want to Write" There is so much on mind, But difficult to express in words; (I) Picked a paper, picked a pen, And ready with a pair of nerds. (I) Sat on the desk, relaxed the legs, Fingers clicked, ink kissed the nib; Big efforts to write hungry letters, Brought a bowl of snacks and drinks to sip. (I) Thought write this and thought write that, Oh, my! my! Look (I) am yawning so hard; (I) Kept aside the nerds and thought for a while, With drowsy eyes, here (I) am a sleeping bard. And then, "I want to Write" again. Finally, after a long time, I have written something. It feels good to be able to express yourself in words. It feels wonderful when your thoughts find way from your head into the blank sheet of paper, which can be shared with everyone. And it feels great to be able to tell the world that you feel great. Peace :)

There’s just one life to love…

Image
A little birdie told me The secret of true love: The one that’s in front of me And another up above. One soul in two bodies, And two minds in a soul; The bodies will perish sometime, Soul plays the eternal role. The soul is one, Just one for the world, But faces strange apart; No matter how many faces play, They all play the same part. The force that binds The world together, In a garland of lovely Red roses forever; The friendship with you Is the true calling for me, And this is the answer That changes I to we. Change is the only constant Experiences the universe. The tune that binds our hearts Sing the same verse. You don’t know someone Until you‘ve been their friend. Friendship – not just to show But to the core and till the end. Love is nothing special But friendship from the heart. That special someone is not me or you But the divine maker Who’s the smartest of all. When you love some...

Short Story "Interview or Date" (Part 4)

Image
To read PART 1  "Click Here" To read PART 2  "Click Here" To read PART 3  "Click Here" “May I come in, Sir?” I peeked in the interview room. A man in his mid-thirties was talking on phone. Looking at me, he waved his hand asking me to wait for five minutes. Then he continued his call, walking from one end of the room to the other. The room had computers lined up in its periphery. In the centre was a partition, on either side of which there was a big table with two chairs placed facing each other. The other partition was occupied by a pair of an interviewer and a prospective candidate. ‘What if I couldn't answer a question? What if the interviewer asks me something I don’t know? What if I get rejected? What if…’, a train of thoughts had just left the platform and it’s driver had no idea where it would stop. “What happened?” Someone pulled the chain. I turned back. It was Mr. French cut. “He asked me to come after five minutes and ...

Short Story "Interview or Date" (Part 3)

To read PART 1  "Click Here" To read PART 2  "Click Here" I resisted my desire of talking to him. ‘Focus Aisha…Focus’, I told myself,’ Focus on the interview darling’. I tried to flush my RAM and refill it with the useful technical content which I would need once in front of the interviewer. Garbage in, Garbage Out. ‘Go back to the resume’. Really! “Which year are you in?” I broke the ice. “Third year, Mechanical Engineering”, he was prompt enough to reply with a smile. A smile can do wonders. It is infectious and it infected me too. The anxiety eased out. The nervousness…err… well, what does this word mean? Does it even exist? Where was I? What was I doing there? This is what Mr. French cut’s smile was doing to me. “May I sit there beside you?” he asked me politely. “yeah…sure!” I smiled looking down on my resume.  My mind entered in a duel with itself. ’Okay, so I am good with C, C++, shell scripting….umm…let me ask him about hi...
