I’m here too
With so much hatred and violence all around these days, how do you think are we nurturing the blooms which are still learning to blossom?
Just imagine - 3rd world war.
No doubt, it would be a nuclear one.
What would happen after that?
‘Total destruction’ - you would say, isn’t it?
Never mind, mother nature would still nurture us all, even after the dark and heinous ways that humans choose sometimes. Some form of life will still find ways to exist, in minority though, yelling to be heard, yearning to be seen and having its beauty admired.
Could you hear them say, “I’m here too”?
No.
Then go on to read the poetry that’s heart wrenching and eye-opening.
At the end of the world,
Protected in a pearl,
A new life rises from below,
A guiding star light says “Hello”.
Making its presence felt,
Miracle it’s a magic spell.
Whatever happened just undo;
“Please know me, I’m here too”.
For the sake of light,
Landmines blasting bright,
Fire crackers aka dangerous weapons,
Why let it be, whatever happens?
The silken folds and creases,
What use! - When everything ceases.
Like a gun, like a flower,
What pride to be a terror star!
When the sun is out and the moon is in,
Except in silence a devilish din.
Scars and wounds – Ah! a nightmare.
Useless eyes! – Nothing’s left to stare.
The result is crystal clear as “water”,
- Only name remains, reality’s been slaughtered.
The land burns, the seas vaporize
Forget studies! – Anything left to memorize?
Here’s the end, the end of all;
Still remains the one last call.
Miracle is as miracle does,
A silver lining amidst clouds abuzz.
A new start, a new star, a new life:
“When I’m the only one alive,
who is going to call me a star dear?
Sense of loneliness, solitude - my only fear”.
Whatever happened just undo;
“Please know me, I’m here too”.
Composed somewhere around 2010-11
